Introduction to the Formulation Research Division
Creating better treatment options through innovative formulation research.
The CMG Pharmaceutical Formulation Research Division is dedicated to the development of innovative medicines and
formulation research to contribute to the health and well-being of humanity.
We are advancing formulation development based on materials that offer both stability and cost-effectiveness,
conducting a wide range of research—from platform-based formulations that improve medication adherence
to the development of novel formulations that differentiate themselves from existing products.
Today, the CMG Pharmaceutical Formulation Research Division continues to create better treatment options
based on differentiated technological capabilities and creative approaches.
Core Technologies
Based on uncompromising quality standards and technical excellence, the Formulation Research Division pursues the
improvement of patients’ quality of life through both the development of improved new drugs and platform formulation
technologies.

Second
Development of New Combination Drugs
-
Third
Development of Platform Technologies Incorporating DDS (Drug Delivery System)
Introduction to Platform Technologies
The Formulation Research Division is continuously developing platform formulation technologies—such as double-layered tablets, ODF, SMEDDS, and Lipid Matrix— to enhance medication convenience and drug delivery efficiency.
-
Lipid Matrix
This technology stabilizes the drug within a lipid-based structure, designed to allow for slow release within the body, thereby increasing the duration of drug efficacy and improving convenience of administration.
-
Double-Layered Tablet
By creating two distinct layers and independently designing their release characteristics or functions, this technology provides complex therapeutic effects.
-
ODF
This thin film dissolves rapidly when placed on the tongue without water, allowing for absorption through the oral mucosa or gastrointestinal tract, thereby improving portability and ease of administration.
Research and Development Projects
The Formulation Research Division is dedicated to developing medicines in key therapeutic areas directly linked to quality of life, including the endocrine, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and central nervous systems.
